Content Management

• We now ship a reduced set of templates with many more targeted reports now appearing in a "Solutions" area, for example a P&L out of the box

• A new combined home dialog showing Solutions, Templates and Folder browser

• Report versioning - ability to open older versions of a report

• Ability to import / export whole folder structures

Reporting

• Report Titles with parameterisation

• Column Captions with parameterisation

• Ability to limit hierarchy nesting levels at import

• No longer have to include the measures dimension on the grid if a single measure is selected

• New "sum of all selected items" calc.

• The "As Of" control has been extended to drive date buckets. 

• Improved daily bucketing options

• The rows / columns dialog now includes label reset and automated pretty layout capabilities (automating the creation of column captions) as well as the capacity to display code and captions for across members

UI Reorganisation and Improvements

• Totals have been split into separate Subtotalling and Hierarchy areas to simplify usability

• Hierarchy dialog extensively reworked for simplicity

• Variables can now appear on the control surface of the report

• Better feedback regarding where a report is in the execution, calculation and display process – particularly useful when you want to stop a huge report before it attempts to layout 60,000 rows, or when switching toggling grid lines, say.

• Do way more from the grid right click menu, reducing need to go into the Rows / Columns dialog

• Dropdown in Excel Ribbon to position filters either at the top or to the right.

Formatting

• Column Header formatting

• Some predefined Style presets

• Can format a column as a clickable hyperlink

• Reports no longer have to be re-run when applying or changing formatting or display settings

Experience

• Web interface more responsive with a much more immediate user experience

• Improved drag from the Field explorer allows better drop positioning of dimensions and attributes

• Filter validation delay to aid users typing into filter controls whilst on a VPN

• Automated push notification to the Admin screen when new product versions are released
