FastClose Server supports multiple ways of authentication so that users can use FastClose easily, more securely and with less admin by utilizing an external identity provider such as Windows authentication or OIDC.
FastClose supports the following ways to authenticate users,
Username and Password. Each user has their own username and password that is configured via the Admin site.
Windows Authentication. FastClose Server can use windows authentication (i.e., Kerberos) to authenticate all users. The domain and protocol ensure secure access for users with minimal administration.
OIDC. FastClose Server has support to authenticate users using your external identity provider (IDP) utilizing OpenID Connect and OAuth 2.0. If your company already uses a IDP then FastClose can use the same one for authenticating users.
Nextworld SSO. FastClose Server can support the SSO mechanisms provided by Nextworld ERP such as OIDC and SAML.
The default authentication is Username and Password. If you are happy with this setting you may skip the remainder of this document.
Important: Before you change your authentication method to OIDC or Nextworld SSO, you must already have created a user in FastClose who will be able to authenticate via that method and is a member of the Administrators group.
The Admin setup page is where you configure your Server Authentication.
The following pages have more information and configuration for the different authentication types.
If you cannot access the Admin web app after configuring it for SSO or you need to login as the default Administrator you should see this page for more information:
