After a FastClose Server upgrade, it is necessary to update the client software installed on user machines.
There is no need for users to uninstall a previous version first, they can install the new version straight over the top of the old one.
Components can be downloaded from your FastClose Server using Chrome or Microsoft Edge via the FastClose Server web interface at 'http://[ApplicationServer]:5101/Admin/Downloads'
The easiest way to do this, is to start FastClose Designer, and click on the URL displayed in the bottom right hand corner of the main window as shown below:
This will automatically open a web browser displaying the FastClose Server administration portal. Once the resulting web page opens, click on the download icon (boxedbottom left below) to display the Client install page as shown below on the right hand side.
Select the components to download and install. Most commonly this would be the Designer tool and the 64bit Excel Add-in.
The user will need Administrator rights to their machine to be able to open and complete the installs.
Each installer will automatically pick up the settings used for previous installs, so the user just has to click "next->next->next" etc... to complete the process.
