FastClose ensures security of erp data and enforcement of report visibility restrictions as well protecting its licencing model by ensuring that each user login, is used by an individual user.
This means that when a user logs in, a record is made that "User A" is currently using "Machine X" - and when they log out, the record is released, allowing them to log in on a different machine - which is important if a user has multiple devices.
However, in a crash scenario, or if the user is still logged in on another machine, this record can remain in place - preventing the user from logging in on a different machine. In this scenario, it is necessary to release the record, which can be done using the Administration tool.
Log into the FastClose web Administration tool, and select the "Users" item from the left hand menu.
Click on "Edit" for the locked user.
As well as enabling editing of the user profile, it is also possible to see which machine the user is currently logged in to, and which application licences they are using.
To release the lock to a specific machine, click "Remove Association"
