FastClose bases the planning report rows that the user sees in their report, from data that actually exists in the database: either actuals from the ERP, or previously submitted planning figures.
If you want to plan for an account, cost centre, or project that has never had any transactions and has no prior plan figures, there is simply no row in the report for it. And of course, you cannot submit against something you cannot see.
This feature is available in two places:
In Designer: Layout tab → Add Missing Rows

in the Excel Add-In: FastClose ribbon→ Add Rows

Both open the same Add Missing Planning Rows dialog.

In the filter row at the top of the dialog, enter the dimension code for the row you want to add. For example, enter account code 4060 in the Account filter.
If your report has multiple down-axis dimensions (e.g. Division + Account), a filter field appears for each one. Every field must be filled with a single, valid value — you cannot use ranges, wildcards, or leave any field blank (unless the valid value is genuinely <Null> or <Blank>).
To add multiple rows in one step, click Add Row as many times as needed and fill each row in.
For large lists, use the Excel Template shortcut: Click Excel Template to generate a temporary workbook with the correct column layout for your report. Fill in the codes (format cells as text, or use a leading apostrophe, to prevent Excel converting codes like 004 to 4). Copy the cell range and click Paste from Excel to import all rows at once.
Click OK. FastClose validates each combination — if a row would be excluded by the report's existing filters, it will be declined (no point creating a row that would be invisible). If validation passes, the report re-runs automatically and the new, empty rows appear ready for data entry.
Hide Rows Without Values: If this setting is active on your report, it will be automatically switched off when you add missing rows — otherwise the new empty rows would disappear immediately on re-run. You can turn it back on after you've submitted values to those rows.
Scenarios: The scenario drop-down in this dialog is relevant if your report shows multiple scenarios simultaneously. The row is created for the selected scenario first, but once it exists and the report re-runs, you can submit to any scenario visible in the columns.
Validity note: FastClose validates against the report's filter setup, but it cannot verify that a given account is valid for a given company in your ERP. You are responsible for ensuring the combinations you add are genuinely valid.
You can add planning rows for any account or dimension combination that doesn't yet have actuals or prior submissions, ensuring no account is ever invisible to the planning process.
