Fixes

Designer

• Where a dimension was present in a report and the user also filtered on an attribute of that dimension, that dimension would appear multiple times in the Add Dimension dialog when editing conditions for a calculation (FC-1438)

• If the Designer was left idle for more than twenty minutes and then attempted certain actions such as exporting the report results to Excel, re-connection to the FastClose server was not handled correctly, resulting in an unhandled error and application exit (FC-1439)

• Subject to further confirmation an intermittent 'invalid operation' error when running a report has been resolved (FC-507)

• A rare 'null reference' error when closing the Calculations dialog has been resolved (FC-1383)

• A rare 'data on clipboard is invalid' error which would lead to an unhandled error and application exit has been resolved (FC-1417)

• An intermittent 'null reference' error when editing a hierarchy with calculated nodes has been resolved (FC-1428)

• Additional diagnostics for an intermittent 'same key already added' error when displaying the list of members for a dimension has been added (FC-1420)

Calculations

• Improvement of automatic calculation priority determination so that users rarely, if ever, have to think about calculation order (FC-1429, FC-1436, FC-1437, FC-1460)

• The calculation order can now be viewed in the Report Statistics dialog without having to run the report (FC-1430)

• A calculation expression which does nothing but multiply a member by zero, in order to allow other conditional expressions to provide results for other criteria, no longer adds those zeros to the internal results cache. This is because their presence can impact later calculations leading to incorrect results being displayed (FC-1461)

• In the Run After dialog for a calculation, it was possible to select multiple items but they could only actually be moved one at a time. They can now be moved in bulk (FC-1442)

• The Calculation dialog no longer logs an error on the server just because the expression being edited references a missing member or dimension (FC-1421)

Server

• If a user logged into FastClose Reader multiple times extremely rapidly, e.g. by opening a dashboard containing multiple embedded reports, a 'same key already added' error could be logged on the server (FC-1456)

• If a client disconnects from the FastClose server in the middle of transferring data to it, this is now logged as a warning not an error (FC-1457)

• A rare 'argument exception' error only seen in the server logs when periodically refreshing the schema meta data cache, fixed (FC-1395)

• The Username column of the server Log table is populated more consistently and correctly (FC-931, FC-1239)

Performance

• Improved the performance of saving and renaming reports and other objects in the repository (FC-1415)

• No longer create a new version when a report or other object gets moved between folders in the repository (FC-1412)

• Big improvement to the performance of opening the History dialog for reports and library objects which have many versions (FC-1130)

Nextworld

• Added support for embedding Reader reports in a Nextworld dashboard (FC-1440)

• When filtering, FastClose now excludes inactive accounts, companies, etc., based on the value of the znwWorkflowInstanceWorkflowCurrentStateType column. You can no longer filter on or otherwise reference these members, but they will still appear in the results if there is data for them. (FC-1444)

• Certain list lookup fields, such as TransactionType in CashReceiptsHeader would show an invalid operation error if the user attempted to list their values (FC-1462)
