In the Edit Hierarchy dialog, the Add Node button has been moved to the right-hand side of the tree view and the node type icon is shown even when editing. (FC-2006)
When you added a dimension selection to a compound selection it was not obvious how to remove it again. A 'remove' icon is now displayed when you point at it, and some other, small UI improvements have been made. (FC-1963, FC-1744)
Folders can now be dragged and dropped within the folder tree on the left-hand side of the Home dialog. (FC-576)
The special code <Today>
can now be used at the start of a range as well as the end. (FC-1973)
The Validation Messages dialog now allows message copying and its maximum width has been constrained. (FC-1992)
The formatting of SQL Server queries in the Report Queries dialog has been improved. (FC-1986)
Designer can be made to ask again for the FastClose server address by holding down the left Shift and Control keys while it starts up. The Excel Add-In will do the same when you click Login or Open. (FC-1035)
The presentation of 'domain' (cube) choices in planning scenario dialogs has been improved. (FC-1994)
Persistent schema meta data caching is now offered as a non-default option for SQL Server and SAP HANA data sources, not just API data sources. This can speed up report opening time if the ERP database is slow, for example across a global WAN connection. (FC-2033)
Version 3.1.2 contains all the fixes released for 3.0.x up to 3.0.8, plus those below.
After renaming a bucketing dimension, running the report would error. (FC-1786)
A calculation based on a bucketing dimension was not being executed if no filter was present for the bucketing dimension. (FC-1974)
A hierarchy calculation containing a cross-dimensional range in its expression would not be executed if the first non-cross-dimensional reference in the expression was not present in the query results. (FC-2002)
If your hierarchy contains label nodes or hidden nodes, and the report when run returns data, but none of the data is associated with hierarchy nodes, an error would occur. (FC-1931)
The Edit Hierarchy dialog let you drag and drop nodes of a Bill of Materials hierarchy, which should be read only. (FC-1957)
In the Edit Hierarchy dialog, the Customize Rollups option was defaulting to true when it should be false. (FC-2005)
Designer would suddenly exit when using expand/collapse hierarchy on a report moved to a separate panel. (FC-2000)
Column combinations were not being re-evaluated when the filter selections were changed for a dimension which is related to certain pivoted dimensions. A Nextworld example was changing the Organizational Unit filter when Organization Unit Segment 2 was pivoted across. An Epicor example was changing the Company filter when Book Currency was pivoted across. (FC-1078)
Double clicking on certain dimensions such as Account Type within the Field Explorer didn't add them to the columns of the report. (FC-1534)
If you right clicked on a dimension in Field Explorer without first left clicking to select it, the context menu items were disabled. (FC-1812)
When you drag a dimension from Field Explorer or elsewhere, it no longer shows all the child attribute notes while dragging, as that could be very distracting. (FC-1989)
The thousands separator was being lost if a divisor was specified in value formatting. (FC-1542)
The Column Details dialog offered OK and Cancel buttons but should only offer Close. (FC-1948)
An intermittent error logged when opening a report has been resolved, subject to further verification. (FC-730)
When the 'Share schema information across connections' option was enabled in the Admin web app, planning submission with SAP HANA data sources would sometimes fail with a 'Failed to find unique key for table' error. (FC-2028)
The Data Sources page of the Admin web app allowed deletion of planning data sources even when in use by ERP connections. (FC-2031)
Deleting a worksheet which contains a linked filter would result in an error. (FC-1324)
Allowing user input while displaying report results was causing a variety of errors, such as 'An error occurred while setting the range's horizontal alignment'. The Add-In now disables user input temporarily while it is filling in the worksheet. (FC-1382)
If the user had merged any cells in the report results, the error 'We can't do that to a merged cell.' would occur when the Add-In tried to clear the result, on report run or filter change. (FC-1471)
The Freeze Panes option could be set to the wrong row when Run All Reports was used. (FC-1743)
Formatting a hierarchy row as a percentage could mistakenly append '%' to label columns if they happened to contain valid numbers such as a company with code '10'. (FC-1763)
When a message such as 'upgrade available' was shown in the Excel Add-In login dialog, the password and server boxes were not visible on some PCs until the message was dismissed. (FC-1999)
After a worksheet with a linked filter was deleted, or the FastClose report on it was closed, another worksheet containing the linked filter would still refer to it, even if the entire link had been deleted. (FC-2001)
After trying to open a report that has become unavailable, other reports would not open properly. (FC-1983)
After creating a new workflow in 3.1.1 an error would occur then and every time you try to visit the Workflows page. (FC-2012)
An HttpRequestException
was being logged when FastClose Server shut down and no worker service was available. (FC-1835)
There was no warning log entry if the AccountSecurityPolicySettingsFile
specified in the server configuration was not readable. (FC-1975)
Some third-party libraries used by FastClose applications have been updated to eliminate or mitigate disclosed security vulnerabilities. (FC-1993)
The Reader web app no longer discloses the web server software name in its headers. (FC-1950)
The Email Server setup page for OAuth 2 no longer re-populates the 'client secret' box when editing. (FC-1967)
