The Epicor Endpoint

On the Epicor main menu:

1. Copy the HTTPS address value and save it somewhere.

   Note: This is the API Endpoint URL item in the FastClose configuration page

The API Key

FastClose requires its own Epicor API key to authenticate properly with Epicor. This can be generated from within the Epicor Configuration UI:

System Setup > Security Maintenance > API Key Maintenance

1. Click the New icon and create an API Key.

2. Enter Key ID, for example “FastClose Reporting”.

3. Enter the same in Name and Description.

4. Click the Save icon then click OK on the message.

   Note: This is your only opportunity to record the generated API Key value

   

5. Copy the value that populated into Key and save it aside.

   Note: This is the key that goes into the API Key item in the FastClose configuration page

Default Company

System Setup > Company/Site Maintenance > Company Configuration

1. Copy your Company ID and save it somewhere..

   Note: This is the Default Company item in the FastClose configuration screen. If you have multiple companies, you can use any one of them. The Epicor User ID configuration will manage FastClose access to your multiple Epicor Companies.

Add an Epicor User ID for FastClose reporting.

System Setup > Security Maintenance > User Account Security Maintenance

1. New > New User

   

2. In the User Prompt box, Enter First Name and Last Name.  For example, Fast and Close
   Click OK.

   

3. In the Detail tab,

   1. Optionally, set an email address for password notification.

   2. Account Access section, Set Password Expires Days to 0.

4. In the Options tab,

   

   1. Tools Options, select Allow Creation of Cross Company BAQ.

   2. System Options, ensure Allow Multiple Sessions is selected.

5. In the Company tab,

   1. Add each Epicor Company to the User.

   2. For each Company, move all Available Sites to Authorized Sites.

      

6. After those configurations are complete, go back to the Detail tab,

   1. Click the blue Enable Account button.

   2. In the Set Temporary Password box, select Set temporary password to blank. Click OK.

      

   3. Review the Enable Account message box. Click OK.

   4. Login Epicor to test the User Login, and set a password when prompted.

   5. Save that password aside.  You’ll use it to configure your ERP Data Source in FastClose.
