FastClose enforces its licencing model by ensuring that each application licence, is used by an individual user.
This means that when a user logs in to an application (such as the FastClose Designer, Excel Addin or Reader), a licence for that application is assigned to that user in perpetuity. Licences are therefore not assigned manually (for example by an Administrator) but on a first come first served basis by users logging in.
However, as time goes on, users will inevitably join or leave the business or even just change department, and their need to use an application and therefore a licence may vary. As a result, it can be necessary to free up licences from users who no longer need them. This can be done using the Administration tool.
Log into the FastClose web Administration tool, and select the "Users" item from the left hand menu.
Click on "Edit" for the user that you want to remove a licence from:
You can now see which application licences they are using as well as which machine the user is currently logged in to.
To release their application licences, click "Release Licences".
NB: If a user only wants to release some but not all of their licences, simply Release the licences here and then ask them to log back in with the licences they are to keep. Licences are assigned on a "first come, first seved" basis, so if a licence is available, they will be assigned it.
